A meeting at sea, a life journeyed together, and so much road still ahead of us.
Summer 2021 · Aeolian Islands
Anywhere, together.
We met in the summer of 2021, during a sailing holiday around the Aeolian Islands. Giorgio was one of the friends in the group, as well as the boat’s skipper. And evening after evening, looking up at the stars, we fell in love. Neither of us knew yet that this journey would change both of our courses.
There is one detail that makes that beginning even more special: Livia’s parents had met in exactly the same way, on a sailing holiday. As though, many years later, the sea had decided to tell the same story once again.
Across the ocean
One little, big adventure.
From the Aeolian Islands, our love crossed the ocean. Livia joined Giorgio in Texas and together we opened MeatPools: a food truck, our first shared adventure and one wonderful act of madness. We improvised, laughed endlessly and discovered how well we work as a team, even when we are tired and everything feels complicated. We worked ourselves exhausted and learned that, together, we can turn even the unexpected into a story worth telling.
Our language
Always a little farther,
beneath the same stars.
We have not stopped since. New cities, new homes, jobs, journeys, mountains and horses. Our journey through New Mexico is one of the memories that represents us best: immense landscapes crossed on horseback, the desire to discover what awaits us around the next bend and the joy of facing it together. There too, evening after evening, we watched the stars, and we like to think that, wherever life takes us, those same stars will continue to accompany us.
December 19, 2025 · Vallon ski run, Alta Badia
The most beautiful question.
On December 19, 2025, at the top of the Vallon ski run in Alta Badia, Giorgio asked Livia the most beautiful question—the one that would begin our next adventure. Deep down, the answer was already written in every mile we had travelled together.
We do not yet know which place we will call home. But in the end, it does not matter: home is wherever we are together. I have Giorgio and Giorgio has me. Wherever we may be, we will be home.
